This is going to be a great way to show your support for your Marine son and have a nice hitch cover to keep your hitch tube free of any dirt and debris and rust. So that whenever you go to put in your ball mount, bike rack, cargo carrier, or any other hitch mounted accessory, it's going to be free and clear of that rust. A lot of time hitches could get a buildup of dirt and rust, and it can make it tricky or more difficult to get in those hitch mounted accessories.
So, this is going to help us prevent that. It's going to be made out of a nice rust-proof stainless steel, and that's going to be the same for the shank as well as the plate, and we'll have a laser etched logo in this textured black matte material. So, it looks pretty nice.Should last up for a long time, or last for a long time and be resistant to any kind of UV rays, and stay looking good. As far as measurements, give you a few here. Our plate measures about four and a quarter inch across and about four and a quarter inch tall.
Overall, the length is about three and three quarter inches. Our shank is about three and a half inches. The hitch pin holes, we'll have three of them so we can get a little bit of an adjustment as far as how far out that goes. From the plate to that first hole, the center of that mounting hole, it's about one and five eights inches, to the second it's about two and an eighth, and to that third it's about two and three quarters. So, one in five eights, two and an eighth, two and five eights, or two and three quarters, excuse me.This fits a two inch by two inch hitch receiver tube.
